Mike FishMike Fish is head of Employee Benefits at The Hartford. He is responsible for the strategic direction, management oversight and financial results of the business segment.
 
The Hartford is a leading provider of fully insured group life, disability and supplemental health insurance, paid family and medical leave insurance, as well as absence management administration. Serving businesses of all sizes, Employee Benefits provides group non-medical insurance products and services to employers and their employees, as well as to members of associations and other groups. Across all product lines and services, the Employee Benefits business segment serves more than 20 million individuals throughout the United States.
 
An industry veteran, Fish joined The Hartford in 2004 and was most recently the chief operating officer of Employee Benefits. He previously served as head of Employee Benefits product and strategy. He also led the Employee Benefits underwriting organization and was responsible for the integration following The Hartford’s 2017 acquisition of Aetna’s U.S. Group Life and Disability business. Prior to joining The Hartford, he worked for Unum Group in various leadership positions.
 
Fish serves as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from the University of Connecticut.
