Rodden introduced new company values, behaviors and a leader profile that defines how leaders at The Hartford drive success. Her strong advocacy for robust succession planning led to the introduction of an executive development program, which has become crucial to the company's sustained success. As a result of Rodden’s leadership, The Hartford is recognized as a strong employer brand, consistently earning top-quartile employee survey scores and ongoing recognition as a top employer.
Previously, she was the lead HR business partner for The Hartford’s property & casualty, Employee Benefits, claims and actuarial teams. Rodden was also instrumental in the organizational design and integration of both the Aetna Group Benefits and Navigators acquisitions. Earlier, she provided HR leadership and support for functions across The Hartford including sales & distribution, underwriting, IT and The Hartford Investment Management Company. She also oversaw the enterprise talent management function.
Prior to joining The Hartford in 1997, Rodden served in human resources positions for Ames Department Stores and Barnett Bank of Tampa.
Rodden holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in HR Management from Binghamton University.
