Chief Data, AI and Operations Officer
Jeffery Hawkins is the chief data, AI and operations officer at The Hartford. He is responsible for integrating advanced analytics and artificial intelligence into Operations and across the enterprise. A seasoned technology executive with over 25 years of experience, Hawkins has led technology modernization and data-driven transformations across healthcare, pharmacy, retail and financial services sectors.
Hawkins joined The Hartford in 2023 as the chief data officer, leading enterprise data services and guiding the company’s data strategy, with a focus on shifting to a modern data architecture and AI-ready data products across all lines of business.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Hawkins served as senior vice president and chief information officer at CVS Health. Hawkins began his career at Humana, where he spent 22 years in various leadership positions shaping the company’s technology-enabled business strategy.
In 2025, Hawkins was recognized by CDO Magazine as one of the top 100 data leaders in North America.
Hawkins holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Arizona.
